Match Report: Caledon 0 - 1 Brampton Adult Soccer July 7 (Regional South)

Caledon controlled possession for the majority of the 90 minutes, but it was Brampton Adult Soccer that came out on top 1-0 at Caledon Soccer Fields.

BAS had a great start to the match, when Frederico Vieira (15') stepped up for a free kick just outside the box on the right side and curled a shot that just dipped under the bar.

Home side Caledon gained momentum after that early goal, but finishing was a problem of their's for rest of the game.

A great chance came when Caledon worked a through ball past BAS' backline, but was denied twice off a rush made by keeper Edson Lopes.

BAS would find a way through Caledon's strong backline in the 30', when a BAS striker was able to sneak by a Caledon offside trap and create a 1v1 opportunity with the keeper.

The away side were dealt a blow in the 50', when goal scorer Vieira was sent off after a hard studs-first tackle.

Caledon would get a great opportunity in the 59' to level the match when Jonathan D'Aguilar fired a 30 yard shot, but he was denied by Lopes once again.

Lopes would come out big again for his side in the 76', when a Caldeon player tried catching the BAS keeper off guard, but Lopes would punch away the chance with ease.

With the win, BAS jump ahead of Caledon by one point to sit 4th in the Regional South Division.

Caledon will now take on second placed AC Soccer Diavoli on July 9 at Meadowvale, while BAS will take on Guelph Oaks at Centennial Bowl Guelph on July 22.
